A pointer hygrometer is a mechanical instrument that intuitively measures environmental temperature and humidity. With the characteristics of no battery, real-time display, and easy operation, it is widely used in households, offices, laboratories, and other scenarios.

Its core consists of two pointer instruments: one is used to indicate temperature (usually in ℃ or ℉), and the other is used to display relative humidity (in% RH). Internally, temperature sensing elements (such as bimetallic sheets) and humidity sensing materials (such as hair and fibers) are used to sense environmental changes, driving the pointer to rotate on the dial and directly presenting the current temperature and humidity values.

These types of instruments are usually designed in a simple way, with metal or plastic shells paired with clear scale panels, which can be placed on desktops, bookshelves, or hung on walls. Compared to electronic thermometers and hygrometers, it does not need to worry about power outages and avoids the possibility of electromagnetic interference to electronic components.
